Alan Vaughan is a co-founder of the Laboratory Informatics Institute and has worked at LabLynx, Inc. for the past 13 years. Vaughan is a long-time laboratory informatics advocate, researcher and writer, and has written and produced videos on various topics in all types of laboratory industry areas, including clinical, manufacturing, regulatory (e.g. ISO 17025), environmental, food and cannabis testing. He is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University, is metrc-certified and wrote the book "Lab Information Management (LIMS) for Cannabis Quality Assurance" published in 2017 (available as free e-book download at https://www.limsforum.com/wiki_book/lab-information-management-lims-for-cannabis-quality-assurance), and presented on the same topic at that year's year’s Cannabis Science Conference in Portland, OR.
