David Schurer

Executive Vice President/Co-Founder & Partner, Sorbent Technologies

David Schurer became immersed in laboratory and scientific supplies working in his family’s company, Ace Scientific—one of the largest laboratory chemicals supply companies in the northeast. He partnered in one of his father’s entrepreneurial ventures, providing scientific instrument and supplies in Puerto Rico. Schurer developed and nurtured new relationships with researchers and chemists within pharmaceutical companies and universities there. He later joined Scientific Adsorbents, Inc. and was responsible for growing sales within the chromatography division. In 2000, Schurer co-founded Sorbent Technologies, which provides companies, universities, and research laboratories with premium chromatography products, instruments and solutions for analytical testing and manufacturing process purification. He earned his BA from Emory University in 1979.
